The Port is seeking a Proposer with proven expertise and extensive experience in the following areas : - Processing employment documents and being the employer of record for all Interns . - Performing outreach in support of public sector internship programs . - Advancing the payment of wages to Interns and advancing payment to various vendors used for Internship activities and events . - Providing a detailed budget and expense report prior to program start date . - Advancing the bi - weekly payment of Intern wages to include the printing of paychecks ( hourly wages for the Interns will be determined by the internship manager ). - Ensure that worker ’ s compensation , unemployment , and other required insurance protections are included in Intern checks . - Work in conjunction with the public sector staff to ensure that program expenses associated with program activities and events are paid ; this includes up front and invoiced payments . - Knowledge and expertise in the management of youth programs , mentoring for students , and managing funds such as payroll administration , program expenses , and monthly invoices for minors hired for seasonal internships .
