Description | PURPOSE OF REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL ( RFP ) QC / QA Asphalt Concrete Aggregate & Hot Mix Testing . Testing asphalt concrete and materials in lab and on roadway . SCOPE OF WORK 1 . QC / QA Asphalt Concrete Aggregate & Hot Mix Testing . 2 . Test all materials in accordance with SDDOT Materials Manual . SDDOT to provide all the testing equipment . The project consists of asphalt concrete resurfacing on SD 10 ( James River to Britton ) in the Aberdeen Area . Quantities on the project are 66 , 000 tons Class Q2R mix . It is expected to take 4 - 5 weeks to complete paving . The DOT will require the Consultant to be current on quality assurance samples . Acceptance test results will be required daily when the Contractor is working . Use an assumption of ( 6 Weeks ) for project , 13 - hour days ( Monday – Friday and every other Saturday ). I would like two QC / QA technicians for this work . |
