R2 Concrete Stabilization @ I - 25 and Cimarron St .

CDOT Region 2 is seeking bids to perform concrete stabilization services on I25 MM141 . 3 to lift out the dips in the traveled lanes . It is the intent to inject expanding structural polymer ( ESP ) beneath the affected areas . The NB dip is noticeably worse than the SB dip . Area affected is assumed the same for both , approx . 3 , 300 SF each . As to procedure , 3 / 8 - 5 / 8 ” holes should be drilled on about 5 ’ center spacing patterns , probably at joints , usually the lowest points . Then ESP would be injected directly below the area through the drilled holes at the joints to attempt the best possible re - leveling . Also string lines , laser levels , and dial gauges will be used to monitor progress . This will help determine if any additional injection depths are needed to provide long - term stability . The exact field methods may differ some from the above , once on site . Being night work , Traffic Control , and light tower will be provided by CDOT .
