1 . INTENT OF BID : A . The intent of this bid is to establish a contract between the Board and bidder for all necessary labor and materials to implement chemical free high temperature , high pressure steam cleaning of ALL MCPSS HVAC evaporator condenser coils , unit housings , and blower assemblies throughout the entire county . B . Reason for Re - Bid : Change in specifications REQUIREMENTS : A . The Mobile County Public School System ( MCPSS ) has numerous HVAC systems that utilize refrigerant , as well as chilled water and hot water coils . These coils , unit housings , blower assemblies , air duct systems and vav reheat coils shall be pressure washed and sanitized on a systematic schedule to maintain cooling efficiency and improve air quality . This bid is for providing pricing on labor to implement cleaning services for MCPSS HVAC evaporator , condenser , chilled water and hot water coils , unit housings , blower assemblies , air duct systems and vav reheat coils . B . Air duct systems and vav reheat coils shall be approached on an “ as needed " basis , and work to be performed would be at the request of MCPSS . C . Successful bidder shall perform services on all facilities as needed . D . Successful bidder shall provide a schedule of times work is to be performed . This schedule is to be reviewed and implemented with MCPSS staff , with a 72 - hour maximum response time from the time that the work request is received . The work day will begin upon arrival at jobsite . E . Successful bidder will be responsible for mobilization of all tools , vehicles , equipment , and personnel to perform required tasks . F . Successful bidder shall take readings of differential pressure , photographs of equipment , and prepare a summary of equipment before and after completion of work . Contractor shall maintain a clean work area . All equipment that may obstruct occupant traffic to be marked and observed by contractor staff to ensure safety . G . All discrepancies found on equipment will be submitted with reports assembled upon completion of work . H . Work to be performed includes , but is not limited to , the following : 1 . No chemicals are to be used on any piece of equipment . Cleaning process shall utilize high temperature , high pressure steam to clean and sanitize components of equipment . 2 . Clean cooling and heating coils for the following equipment : Air Handling Unit , Fan Coil Unit , Blower Coil Unit , Unit Ventilator 3 . Clean fan housing , evaporator drain pan and blower wheels . 4 . Clean split system condenser coils . 5 . Clean VAVs reheat coils if requested by MCPSS . 6 . Clean Air Duct Systems ( Supply and Return ), as requested by MCPSS .
