FBO Post Title: Request for Interested Manufacturers for the following C-5 Direct Linear Valve: National Stock Number (NSN) Part Number (PN) Cage Code 4810001164496UC 36190-1 99643 SUBJECT: Market research is being conducted to identify potential sources that may possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet the requirements for qualification and production of the C-5 Direct Linear Valve, NSN 4810001164496UC PN 36190-1 (Cage Code 99643). The Purchase Request number is FD20602600079. ITEM DESCRIPTION This item is a hydraulic directional control valve assembly that is three-way, two position 3000 PSIG operating pressure. It is 6.88 inches in length, 3.18 inches in width, 4.18 inches in height, and weighs 0.79 pounds. Impediment to Competition: The original equipment manufacturer for this item is Eaton Aerospace LLC. (CAGE 99643), which maintains its configuration by part number and software version. The Government does not own any data, drawings, schematics, or any other releasable technical data in support of this requirement. As a result, Eaton Aerospace LLC is the only known source with adequate knowledge of the subject direct linear valve’s performance requirements and possession of the required technical data and capabilities needed to produce this item and ensure compatibility of the equipment. INTEREST The DLA/AWB Contracting Office intends to award a sole source contract to Eaton Aerospace LLC for the manufacture of the subject direct linear valve in support of the C-5 Aircraft. Other interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 2 Feb 2026 closing date by emailing Trent Miller at trent.miller.4@us.af.mil and/or todd.stimus@us.af.mil. The Government intends to procure this item using Other Than Full and Open Competition as prescribed by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.
