SUBJECTMarket research is being conducted to identify potential sources that may possess the expertise , capabilities , and experience to meet the requirements for qualification and production of the Direction Finder Control , NSN 5825 - 01 - 566 - 7710 , P / N 100892 - 200 . ITEM DESCRIPTIONThe Direction Finder Control is part of the VOR / ILS Air Navigation System that controls navigation receivers on the TH - 1H . IMPEDIMENT TO COMPETITIONThe original equipment manufacturer for this item is Executive Instruments , INC ( CAGE 24363 ), which maintains its configuration by part number and software version . The Government does not own any data , drawings , schematics , or any other releasable technical data in support of this requirement . As a result , Executive Instruments , INC . is the only known source with adequate knowledge of the Direction Finder Control performance requirements and possession of the required technical data and capabilities needed to produce this item and ensure compatibility of the equipment . INTERESTThe DLA / AWB Contracting Office intends to award a sole source contract to Executive Instruments , INC . for the manufacture of the Direction Finder Control in support of the TH - 1H helicopter program .
