Description | Grand Traverse County is accepting applications from community members to serve on the Grand Traverse County Opioid Settlement Spending Advisory Committee ( OSSAC ). In August 2025 , the Grand Traverse County Board of Commissioners adopted a resolution establishing the Grand Traverse County Opioid Settlement Spending Plan ( OSSP ). To support implementation of the OSSP , a seven - member OSSAC will be established to provide ongoing oversight , promote transparency , and develop recommendations on the allocation and use of opioid settlement funds . The committee will receive and review funding proposals from Grand Traverse County – based service providers seeking opioid settlement dollars and will recommend awards and results - based programming to the Grand Traverse County Board of Commissioners . As its initial task , the OSSAC will oversee the release of a Request for Proposals ( RFP ) to support projects and programs that reflect the OSSP ’ s five Core Values and comply with the approved List of Opioid Remediation Uses outlined inExhibit E .
