Description | The purpose of this contract is to develop a comprehensive , California - specific emissions inventory for RWC . The inventory will be based on robust activity data collected from representative regions across the state and will improve the accuracy of emissions estimates for PM2 . 5 and other pollutants associated with RWC . The main objectives of this contract are to : 1 . Collect representative activity data on wood - burning device prevalence , frequency of use , device types , and fuel use from selected regions across California , reflecting the state ’ s geographic , demographic , and climatic diversity . 2 . Develop a methodology to extrapolate the regional activity data to the statewide level using appropriate statistical or modeling techniques . 3 . Estimate emissions of PM2 . 5 and other criteria pollutants using the updated activity data . 4 . Validate the developed emissions inventory on RWC . |
