GENERAL 1 . 01 SCOPE : Work Included : A . Remove existing asphalt shingle roofing system and any related components down to structural deck at locations indicated on drawings and dispose of offsite . B . Removal of existing sheet metal flashing elements where indicated on drawings or where required to remove existing roofing and to install specified roofing system . Dispose of or store flashings for reinstallation as indicated on project drawings . C . The Base Bid includes all labor and material to replace up to 6 sheets of 4 ’ x 8 ’ CDX plywood sheathing . Replacement sheathing to match existing deck thickness . Contractor shall also provide a unit price for replacement of one ( 1 ) 4 ’ x 8 ’ CDX plywood sheathing as authorized by KCUSD or owners representative . Unit price includes labor and material . At completion of project , successful contractor shall credit KCUSD for all labor and material for replacement of sheathing included in the Base Bid which are not replaced . Credit shall be based on Unit Cost per sheet as reflected on the Bid Form . D . Install new ( Owens Corning Duration Premium Cool Series “ Frosted Oak ”) asphalt shingle roof system over 2 layers of manufacturer approved synthetic underlayment and associated metal flashings as indicated on drawings . E . Clean and repair existing low slope mechanical roof area with materials in like kind in preparation for installation of new spray in place polyurethane foam roof system with title 24 complaint reflective acrylic roof coating , granules and associated flashings as indicated on drawings . F . Install new 24g galvanized sheet metal flat roof to shingle roof transition flashing and paint to match shingle color . G . Install new prefinished rain diverter as indicated on drawings . Install new prefinished low profile roof vents as required to meet CBC attic venting requirements . H . Install new conduit / condensate blocking as indicated on drawings . Replace all condensate line with new material in like kind .
