RFP Specifications : ● Please provide specifications for the capacity , hardware , features , cables , Ethernet card , etc . ● Wherever a specific product is specified by brand name and term “ or equal ” appears in these specifications , it shall be the vendor ’ s responsibility to establish through objective independent performance reports that the proposed product will perform with the same reliability as the specified product . ● The new switch and accessories need function properly stacked together with our existing HP Aruba 6300m switches . ● The hardware must be operational on a school site - based local area network . Ideally , all equipment should be delivered to Rochester School District by April 30 , 2026 The district is replacing existing network switches at one of its data closet locations . ● Existing switches being replaced include the following : ○ ( 1 ) HP 5406Rzl2 ( J9850A ) with ( 6 ) J9990A line cards ■ This switch is our district ’ s network hub that supports SM fiber connections to our other locations and also routes between their various subnets ■ It supports 11 single - mode and 10 multi - mode fiber connections ○ ( 2 ) HP Aruba 3810M switches ■ These switches support copper connections in the building , including HP Aruba WAPs ● We will be replacing this equipment with the following items which we already have : ○ ( 6 ) Aruba 6300M ( JL661A ) switches that will be stacked together ■ We do currently have these switches and their related accessories ○ The items in the Switching Equipment Required list below will also be added to this stack Switching Equipment Required : ● ( 1 ) HP Part JL658A : HPE Aruba Networking CX 6300M 24 - port SFP + and 4 - port SFP56 Switch ● ( 2 ) HP Part JL085A : HPE Aruba Networking X371 12VDC 250W 100 - 240VAC Power Supply ○ With included ( 2 ) power cord ( US localization ) ● ( 10 ) HP Part J9151E : HPE Aruba Networking 10G SFP + LC LR 10km SMF Transceiver ● ( 1 ) HP Part J4858D : HPE Aruba Networking 1G SFP LC SX 500m OM2 MMF Transceiver ● ( 1 ) HP Part J4859D : HPE Aruba Networking 1G SFP LC LX 10km SMF Transceiver ● ( 1 ) HP Part R0M46A : HPE Aruba Networking 50G SFP56 to SFP56 0 . 65m Direct Attach Copper Cable Support and Services Requested : ● 3 year Aruba Central Device Management / Cloud Services Subscription and also 3 year Hardware support for switch . ● Additionally , please provide a required quote to assist with the following : ● Setting up the new equipment in this Bid Specification together with our existing ( 6 ) CX 6300M switches and accessories into a single managed stack ● Ensure the switch stack is managed in Aruba Central in our portal ● Configure the stack to replace the functionality of the aforementioned existing switches ( HP 5406Rzl2 and 2 Aruba 3810m ) ● Assist with cutting over to the new stack , replacing all previous functionality with minimal downtime .
