A . Contractor shall provide equipment capable of supplying at least 34 , 000 pounds of known weight . Known weight shall include at least 20 , 000 pounds of test weight . B . All work shall be unconditionally guaranteed for one ( 1 ) year barring any damage that is outside of the Contractor ’ s control . The warranty shall become effective when the State approves the completed work . C . Contractor shall take all necessary precautions to protect service locations . Any damage caused by Contractor to State equipment , materials , or other property shall be repaired or replaced by Contractor to the satisfaction of the State at no cost to the State . The State may , at its option , repair any damage and deduct from Contractor the cost thereof . D . Materials used in this project shall consist of products that are recommended by the specific scale manufacturer of the Keddie platform scales , or expressly approved by the designated CHP onsite contact . E . Contractor shall conform with the Cal / OSHA requirements stated in Title 8 , pertaining to confined space and entry procedures . F . Should adjustment , calibration , or servicing of electronic equipment require any software upgrades , a copy of the software or documentation shall be provided to the State at no extra cost to the state . Calibration , adjustment and servicing of any electronic equipment shall not be locked out with a password or any other means
