Description | The City of Farmington , New Mexico , is seeking companies interested in providing scrap metal pickup and recycling services , primarily for aluminum , steel , iron , brass , and copper . In addition , lead - acid batteries and electronic e - waste are also collected on - site for recycling . The normal hours of operation are 8 : 00 a . m . to 3 : 30 p . m ., Monday through Friday . The awardee will be responsible for all loading and unloading of material . The Farmington Electric Utility Service contributes a significant amount of copper , aluminum , and other materials . Appropriate roll - off bins for all materials are to be kept at the Municipal Operations Center , with select roll - offs placed at appropriate facilities within the City of Farmington . Bins are to be collected and returned during normal business hours in a timely manner , with the materials collected appropriately recycled or disposed of . |
