Description

Description

Please note that this is not a call for tenders but a publication announcing the Contracting authority’s intention to publish a future negotiated low or middle valueprocedure.

The subject of this call for tenders is the section on current affairs of the European Union on the online portal in Latvian. One of the core tasks of the European Commission Representation in Latvia is to inform the public about the various European Commission proposals, political priorities and progress in achieving them, and to explain the various programmes, initiatives and support instruments available to the Member States by the institutions of the European Union. A study carried out by SKDS in 2023 shows: 72.1 % of citizens surveyed use online news platforms and portals to gather information on EU-related issues, while TV lags behind 66.8 %, while only around 35 % of citizens use printed publications as a source of information. The aim of this procurement is to build cooperation with one of the online media/news platforms operating in Latvia in order to ensure regular availability of information on the proposals put forward by the European Commission, political priorities such as the green and digital transitions, the rule of law, health and social measures, as well as the various support options and instruments offered by the European Union (including the implementation of the Recovery and Resilience Facility and the Plan, etc.) which can make a significant contribution to improving the quality of life of the Member State and its citizens.
