Description | A Fiscal Intermediary ( FI ) manages the money for self - directed services , handling payroll , taxes , and bill payment , inclusive of all financial management , administrative tasks , and program compliance , while a Support Broker ( SB ) helps individuals plan their care , build support networks , and implement their personal vision , acting as a guide and liaison , with the FI handling the financial backend ant the SB the strategic support for persons participating in the program . They work together to give person control over their care budgets and services . The County wishes to engage in a contractual relationship with the best - qualified proposer selected through a competitive process that will work well with the County ’ s personnel in the performance of the Services in a manner that is cost - effective and practical of which price is but one of the selection criteria . |
