Purpose : The Pell City School System is seeking proposals for serving lines and shelving . BID SPECIFICATIONS : COOSA VALLEY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL SERVING LINE EQUIPMENT Page 1 DELFIELD SHELLEYSTEEL SERIES or Equivalent 1 . GENERAL CONSTRUCTION : A . Counter Tops Counter tops to be 14 ga . stainless steel . All exposed edges to have a straight turndown as specified . All corners to be fully welded . Top to have equal to a # 4 finish with corner edges ground and polished to match . Tops enclosed base counters and serving counters to be braced with hat channel galvanized bracing stud bolted to the underside of top and furnished with cadmium plated lock nut fasteners . B . Counter Body : Body of the counter is constructed of 18 gauge stainless steel side panels and 14 gauge galvanized bottom . All exterior sides are reinforced with overlapping corners and are welded in place . All body cutouts are reinforced with 14 - gauge galvanized channel supports . Counter exterior front , rear , and ends will be 18 gauge stainless steel covered with a custom kromagard base wrap . Bottom of the counter will be closed and furnished with heavy gauge channels for mounting the legs or casters . Counter bodies to be trimmed with 18 gauge stainless steel corner angles and bottom trim strips . a . As called for in itemized specifications , provide 18 gauge stainless steel louvered panels . b . Counter bodies to be constructed to appear as a continual counter when installed together . C . Hot / Cold / Freeze Food Wells : Food Wells to be electric and designed to operate independently for hot / cold / freeze operations in any combination . Wells are flush mounted with thermostatic temperature controls , dry operation only no water is required . The wells are fully insulated with polyurethane foam , each well has an aluminum liner designed to accommodate up to a 6 ” deep 12 ” x 20 ” pan . The refrigeration system is mounted on a galvanized steel frame below the wells and uses environmentally friendly R290 refrigerant . A remote - control panel flush mounted to the rear of the counter contains a 3 - way Hot / Cold / Off power switch and thermostat for each well . D . Casters : Where specified counters are to be mounted on SG32C Adjustable Height 5 ” polyurethane casters . Casters are attached to the counter bottom and designed to be removable in the field for servicing or replacement . Casters will all have brakes . E . Cafeteria Service Single Sided Sneeze Guards : FlexiShield Model DCFSFS Sneeze guards will have a 3 / 8 ” tempered glass serving shelf with sloped front three - way adjustable ¼ ” tempered glass sneeze guards and ¼ ” tempered glass end panels . All glass includes chrome plated hardware , uprights and framing to be 1 ” tubular stainless steel . Guards are attached to the counter tops with flanged feet with a decorative stainless steel cover plate . F . Self Service Single Sided Sneeze Guards : FlexiShield Model DCFSKS Sneeze guards will have a 3 / 8 ” tempered glass serving shelves with a sloped front fixed ¼ ” tempered glass sneeze guard and ¼ ” tempered glass end panels . All glass includes chrome plated hardware , uprights and framing to be 1 ” tubular stainless steel . Display Lights : Where specified provide LED display light fixtures mounted below the sneeze guard shelves . Light fixtures are to be wired to a switch mounted in the counter control panel and to a junction box in the counter body . All wiring for the display lights are to be run through the stainless steel tubing supports for the sneeze guards . H . Counter Junction Boxes : As specified the serving counter sections will be wired to a junction box and provided with a cord and plug . All counter sections with electrical will be UL Listed with a label attached . I . Extended Top Tray Slides : Counter tops will be extended to form a tray slide area on each counter . J . Drop Down Rear Work Shelf : Work Shelf where specified to be a 16 gauge stainless steel flat style shelf . Work Shelf will be mounted to the counter with 14 gauge stainless - steel drop - down style knife type brackets bolted to the counter body . K . Warranty 1 . Two ( 2 ) Year Parts and Labor for the food wells and cold pan . 2 . Seven ( 7 ) Years Parts warrant on the refrigeration compressor . SERVING LINE WILL CONSIST OF THE FOLLOWING : Item # 1 . Hot / Cold Food Counter Section : 1 . Delfield ShelleySheel SWF - 6 - NU or equivalent . 2 . Sixteen ( 16 ) inch flat top section with one ( 1 ) 19 . 88 ” x 11 . 88 ” cut out to accommodate full size pans . 3 . One ( 1 ) full size 12 ” x 20 ” x 6 ” pan is furnished by Delfield . 4 . Six ( 6 ) individually controlled hot / cold / freeze wells . 5 . Line up interlocks to join the adjoining counters . 6 . 11 . 75 ” countertop extension on the counter front to form a tray slide area . 7 . Model DCFSFS 101 ” long cafeteria style adjustable sneeze guard with glass display shelf 8 . One ( 1 ) DCFSLED LED - 72 ” display light mounted under the display shelf . 9 . Drop down style 6 ” wide rear work shelf mounted on the operator ’ s side of the counter at 34 ” high . 10 . Counter height will be 34 ”. 11 . Counter dimensions will be 118 ” x 40 ” 12 . Stainless steel exterior with custom kromagard base wrap on the front and ends . 13 . Stainless steel rear control side finish with louvered panels for service access . 14 . Counter is mounted on SG32C 5 ” adjustable height casters all with brakes . 15 . Control panel for the food wells and LED lights . 16 . Counter to be wired to a junction box and furnished with a cord and plug . 17 . Counter to be UL Listed with a label attached . 18 . Electrical to be 120 / 208 - 230V / 60 / 1 - PH / 12 . 2 Amps . Furnished with 9 ft cord and # 14 - 20 plug .
