Sewer Plant Waste Pumping and Disposal Services

A . Contractor shall provide pumping , transportation , and disposal of pumped contents from the Konocti Conservation Camp Sewer Plant totaling approximately 3 , 400 gallons per service call with a vacuum truck and / or trailer , in order to maintain proper fluid height and consistency . B . Contractor shall perform one ( 1 ) routine service per month , with up to three ( 3 ) additional services per year on an on - call basis from the CAL FIRE Project Representative based on usage . Additional services may be required as determined by the CAL FIRE Project Representative and no less than the frequencies specified . The Contractor agrees to increase or decrease service quantity and frequency based on fluctuations in work demands , as requested by the CAL FIRE Project Representative . Services shall be performed as scheduled by the CAL FIRE Project Representative . Contractor shall respond within 72 hours after a service request . C . Contractor shall inspect sewer plant during each service call to ensure all parts are in good and functional condition . Contractor shall provide a written service report to the CAL FIRE Representative after each visit that details the date , time services performed , and condition of the sewer plant . D . CAL FIRE shall provide access to the grease traps and all necessary parts of the facility during scheduled times of service and notify the Contractor of any site specific safety of access requirements . E . Contractor ’ s truck / trailer must have the correct Gross Vehicle Weight ( GVW ) and be certified to State and Federal Department of Transportation requirements . F . Contractor shall transport the sludge to a final certified waste disposal site . Contractor is to provide the appropriate county agency all documentation of waste disposal at a certified site as required . Contractor is required to provide CAL FIRE with all documentation of waste disposal at a certified site . G . Contractor shall maintain a valid Class “ A or B ” California driver ’ s license , as required for the vehicle used and air brake endorsement during the term of this agreement . Contractor must provide CAL FIRE evidence of , and maintain during the terms of this agreement , a valid waste hauler permit for septic tank and grease trap pumping and the work should be done in accordance with all state , federal , and local laws and regulations . All appropriate permits , licenses , and insurance requirements must be current and remain active throughout the contract term . H . Contractor shall make all connections to the truck / trailer and to the sewer plant . Contractor is responsible for spills after the point of connection . Contractor shall , at own expense , provide for the clean - up of any spillage occurring as a result of the pumping of contents from the plant , and make well all damages , prior to services completion . I . Contractor shall handle , pump , remove , transport and recycle all waste in accordance with all applicable federal , state , and local laws and regulations .
