The Contractor shall : 1 . Clear and grub an approximate 250 ' x 160 ' area , including removal of trees , brush and stumps . All debris shall be properly disposed of off - site . 2 . Strip and stockpile topsoil for redistribution around the building site . 3 . Import sand and raise the building pad approximately four ( 4 ) feet . Spread and compact to a minimum of 95 % compaction using appropriate compaction equipment . 4 . Establish finished floor elevation approximately eight ( 8 ) inches above adjacent roadway elevation . 5 . Install six ( 6 ) inches of MDOT 21AA gravel over the building pad . Spread and compact to 95 % compaction . 2 . Utility Tap Connections Water 1 . Tap into existing water main . 2 . Install copper valve , curb stop , and shutoff . 3 . Excavate , install , and backfill approximately 100 linear feet of 1 " Type K copper water service line . 4 . Compact trench backfill to 100 % compaction . Sanitary Sewer 1 . Tap into existing 6 " SDR35 sewer line . 2 . Saw cut and remove asphalt as required . 3 . Install 6 " SDR35 pipe with bell and gasket . 4 . Install cleanout on the south side of the road . 5 . Install approximately 150 linear feet of sewer piping . 6 . Backfill and compact in lifts . 7 . Final 12 inches to consist of 21AA road gravel , compacted and prepared for asphalt restoration .
