Description | The City of Salinas is seeking a design - build artist , or artist group , to create and install a gateway monument or sculpture within the Skyway - Alisal Roundabout . The selected artist , or artist team , will develop and implement a site - specific public art installation in the central island at the Skyway - Alisal Roundabout as part of the Alisal Greening , Beautification , and Safety Project , Capital Improvement Program 9345 . The objective of this call for art is to enhance and revitalize public spaces while creating community placemaking , enhancing cultural connection , and improving public health . |
