DESCRIPTIONThis is a Sources Sought Notice to identify consultants to provide necessary professional design services to perform topographic surveys and underground utility mapping services for Subproject 2 of the Critical Utilities Infrastructure Revitalization ( CUIR ) Project . This is not a solicitation for proposal or quotations and no award will be made from this Notice . SLAC intends to issue a formal solicitation later based on responses from this Source Sought Notice . BACKGROUNDThe Critical Utilities Infrastructure Revitalization ( CUIR ) Project is a capital improvement initiative to modernize SLAC ’ s utilities infrastructure . Many utility systems at SLAC were installed in the 1960s and have exceeded their expected service life , posing potential risks to safety , facility operations , and regulatory compliance . CUIR ’ s Subproject 2 ( SP2 ) focuses on replacing wet utility systems in strategic locations within the SLAC campus . Improvements to potable water , sanitary sewer , and storm sewer infrastructure are currently in the design development phase . PLANNED SCOPE AND DESCRIPTION OF SERVICESSLAC is seeking a qualified subcontractor to perform topographic surveys and underground utility mapping services in support of the detailed design of SP2 . The purpose of these services is to provide accurate , field - verified data on site terrain , surface features , and underground utilities to support informed design decisions , site layout , drainage planning , utility coordination , utility replacement / rehabilitation , and advancement of the design to the 60 % milestone and eventually to a constructable set of drawings .
