Description | A . Description : To supply and haul sleet sand to locations in Ionia County as directed by the Road Supervisor . The sleet sand shall be in accordance with Section 902 of the Standard Specifications for Construction . B . Materials and Testing : 1 . Material shall be 2NS aggregate conforming to Table 902 - 4 . Sieve Analysis , Total Percent Passing 2NS 3 / 8 ” No . 4 No . 8 No . 16 No . 30 No . 50 No . 100 LbW 100 95 - 100 65 - 95 35 - 75 20 - 55 10 - 30 0 - 10 0 - 3 . 0 2 . The contractor is responsible for the initial testing of the material and copies of these tests shall be provided to the Ionia County Road Department . These tests shall be completed by a certified aggregate inspector , and the costs of these tests shall be borne by the contractor . 3 . The Ionia County Road Department reserves the right to conduct assurance tests of the delivered material or on - site material . This testing shall be either by the ICRD , or an independent testing company chosen by the ICRD . Costs of this testing shall be borne by the ICRD . |
