1 . Introduction / Background : The U . S . Army Combat Capabilities Development Command - Armaments Center ( DEVCOM - AC ) is issuing this sources sought notice as a means of conducting market research to identify potential sources interested in providing SmartUQ 10 . 1 or higher software licenses . DEVCOM - AC integrates Uncertainty Quantification ( UQ ) tools , methods , and best practices into engineering modeling and simulations studies in science and technology which helps to accurately and effectively assess and improve armaments systems performance and reliability . 2 . DisclaimerTHIS SOURCES SOUGHT IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY . THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL ( RFP ) TO BE SUBMITTED . IT DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A SOLICITATION AND SHALL NOT BE CONSTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT . RESPONSES IN ANY FORM ARE NOT OFFERS AND THE GOVERNMENT IS UNDER NO OBLIGATION TO AWARD A CONTRACT AS A RESULT OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT . Requirements : 3 . 1 . Vendor shall provide maintenance , support , and software upgrades for the 13 LAN licenses ( 10 open and 3 secure site ) of SmartUQ ( v . 10 . 1 or newest ) software , which executes uncertainty analyses and design of computer experiments , over the next 5 years . This access shall be available continuously without interruption at Picatinny Arsenal , NJ . 3 . 2 . The following Customer Support shall be provided : 3 . 2 . 1 . SmartUQ license keys and remote support to DEVCOM - AC personnel related to installation of the software on individual user systems and installation and troubleshooting of the license servers . 3 . 2 . 2 . SmartUQ software - related technical support and version updates for a period of one ( 1 ) year and continue annually as per option years . 3 . 2 . 3 . SmartUQ technical statistics - related support with the implementation of UQ techniques via the SmartUQ statistical software . 3 . 2 . 4 . Deliverables : Electronic access to upgraded versions of the software and licensing as appropriate . 4 .
