The light fixture must be fully recessed into a standard ceiling grid . The light must provide a minimum level of brightness at a standard working distance . 14 , 000 LUX at 3 meters and 49 , 000 LUX at 1 meter . A single controller must be able to operate multiple light heads simultaneously . The light source must be energy - efficient , long - lasting , and produce minimal heat . Capture Workstation Requirements : N / ASystem Requirement : It must be compatible with standard hospital ceiling heights and grid systems . Must operate on standard hospital electrical systems . Must include both a wall - mounted control panel and a handheld wand . Other Requirements : Installation , inspection and warranty certification of recessed lighting system , single mount or up to two ( 2 ) flush ceiling mounted exam system .
