2 . DESCRIPTION The New Brunswick Public Schools are a comprehensive community public school district , serving students in pre - Kindergarten through twelfth grade from the city of New Brunswick in Middlesex County , New Jersey . The District ’ s 15 schools have an approximate enrollment of 10 , 000 + and approximately 800 teachers . 3 . SCOPE OF SERVICE This Request for Proposal for Occupational Therapy Services seeks to contract with therapists , companies or agencies to provide services . The term of contract for Occupational Therapy and Evaluation Services shall be from July 1 , 2026 to June 30 , 2027 . Proposals submitted will be considered to provide services and evaluations for public school students and nonpublic students via local and federal ( IDEA ) funding sources . A . The District is soliciting rates for the following : Occupational Therapy A therapy session is defined as follows : ● Occupational Therapy : per hour – Local - prorated for actual therapy times . ● Occupational Therapy : per hour - Out of District - prorated for actual therapy times . ( Local therapy is defined as any school located within the City of New Brunswick .) ● All students are to be seen as per times and durations as set forth in their IEPs / ISPs . There are no exceptions to this rule . ● All therapists must possess current professional licensure . ● Therapy sessions to be provided on location in the recipient ’ s class / school ; or at a recipient ’ s home in unique , pre - approved circumstances . ● Therapists are required to maintain accurate records and must be made available to the District upon request . ● Therapists must comply with district reporting dates and requirements for progress reporting . Reports must be tied to the IEP goals and objectives . The progress reporting schedule will be distributed to providers by the Department of Student Support Services .
