Description

Cumberland Council is commissioning a new contract for the purchase of Specialised Chairs to support the Community Equipment Service. We would like to invite interested suppliers to attend an online market engagement session via Microsoft Teams on Thursday, 13 November 2025 at 11:30am. The Council intends to award a contract to a single supplier to enable spot-purchasing of Specialised Chairs as and when required throughout the contract term. The contract will have a maximum value of £350,000 and will be in place for an initial period of 18 months, with the option to extend for a further 12 months, provided the full contract value has not been reached during the initial term. Suppliers wishing to tender will be required to: • Register on The Chest (the North West e-tendering portal), • Submit a tender detailing the types of Specialised Chairs offered, • Respond to quality-based questions regarding the service provision, • Provide detailed costings, including replacement parts. Tenders will be evaluated by a panel, with a recommendation made to the Adult Social Care & Housing Leadership Team, followed by a decision to award the contract to the successful provider. If you are interested in delivering this contract and would like to attend the market engagement session which is available via the Chest Procurement portal. For further details and to access the pre-market engagement documents, use the council's online procurement portal - The Chest - https://www.the-chest.org.uk. Registration on The Chest is free. A Teams invitation will then be sent to you. https://procontract.due-north.com/Advert?advertId=d8c16769-37ba-f011-813a-005056b64545
