Description
Description | Description : The purpose of the project is to improve deficiencies and provide a smoother riding surface , therefore , decrease the cost of ongoing roadway maintenance . The improvements to the roadway are to eliminate current potholes , depressions , rutting , and other pavement failures . This project is for the resurfacing of approximately 5 . 05 miles of existing roadway on various routes in LUZERNE COUNTY , VARIOUS MUNICIPALITIES in the COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA . The resurfacing includes asphalt wearing courses , scratch courses , milling , line painting , shoulder backup , pavement markings , and design / build of concrete curb ramps . All work will be completed within the existing roadway . All maintenance and protection of traffic ( MPT ) will be completed in accordance with the special provisions of the contract and will consist of short - term patterns . |
