ABOUT RFP S21381: VTA seeks proposals (each, a “Proposal”) from qualified firms (each, a “Proposer”) to provide services for the SR 237/Lawrence Expressway/Java Drive Interchanges Improvement (“Project”). The Project includes multiple phases of design and engineering work. This RFP is for completion of an alternatives study and development of a Project Initiation Document (PID) (“Services”). The proposed Project location is shown in Appendix A.There will be future design and engineering work awarded in stages (“Additional Services”), including Project Approval/Environmental Document (“PA/ED”); Plans, Specifications, & Estimate (“PS&E”); and Design Services During Construction (“DSDC”).Ideally, the same contractor who performs the Services would also perform the Additional Services. However, VTA will only request Additional Services from a contractor who has demonstrated satisfactory performance on the current or previous stages of the Project. To be considered for the award of Additional Services, Proposers must have included a statement of interest in performing the Additional Services and qualifications for such work in their proposal for this RFP S21381.
