TGeorgia College & State University (GCSU), a University System of Georgia institution, provides public notice of its intent to utilize the OMNIA Partners cooperative purchasing agreement awarded by Region 4 Education Service Center (ESC), acting as the lead public procurement agency, to Irwin Seating Company for Furniture, Installation, and Related Services, resulting from competitively solicited RFP No. 24-01. Region 4 ESC issued the RFP on April 10, 2024, publicly advertised the solicitation through multiple national and regional outlets, and received and evaluated 63 proposals using published evaluation criteria. Cooperative purchasing provisions were included in the solicitation. GCSU intends to procure 424 Irwin Seating Company Centura Slat Back spectator chairs for its new Baseball/Softball Complex, including support rails, steel stanchions, armrests, cup holders, seat and row identification, custom logo panels, mounting hardware, freight, delivery, field coordination, and complete installation on the concrete grandstand in accordance with project construction documents and manufacturer requirements. The seating system was selected by the Design-Build team and incorporated into the approved facility design. Utilizing the competitively established OMNIA Partners cooperative purchasing agreement supports design compatibility, avoids redesign and additional coordination, leverages cooperative contract pricing, and mitigates manufacturing, installation, and construction schedule risks.
