Description | The Nevada Department of Transportation ( DEPARTMENT ) is soliciting proposals from qualified SERVICE PROVIDERs to provide a comprehensive , state - owned mobile mapping system for use in roadway and roadside data collection , and special project support . The system will be operated by DEPARTMENT personnel and must also be capable of supporting local agency data collection efforts when applicable . This system will enhance the DEPARTMENT ’ s ability to collect roadway inventory and asset data that is critical for safety analysis , infrastructure planning , and compliance with federal programs such as the Highway Safety Improvement Program ( HSIP ). The selected SERVICE PROVIDER must deliver all necessary hardware , software , and training to support the DEPARTMENT ’ s in - house asset extraction workflows , including tools aligned with an agreed - upon data dictionary . A web - based viewer must also be provided for accessing , visualizing , and analyzing the collected data . |
