DESCRIPTION OF WORK TO BE PERFORMED MARTA is seeking qualified Bidders to provide Storage Expansion and Upgrade for MARTA ’ s Information Technology Department . SPECIFICATIONS AND SCOPE OF WORK A . INTRODUCTION MARTA is expanding and upgrading the current Enterprise storage infrastructure at MARTA Headquarters (" HQ "), Candler Park (“ CP ”) . The solution is part of MARTA ' s electronic security program initiative to provide additional storage capacity needed to store and support applications and video footage Authority - wide and refresh the storage infrastructure nearing the end of service and support at the data centers . The Contractor shall complete : 1 . Code upgrade of the existing (“ IBM ”) Enterprise Storage System (“ ESS ”) at HQ and Police Control Center (“ PCC ”) to the latest code version for the IBM ESS storage system . 2 . Installation of Utility Nodes into existing ESS environment to replace end of life nodes . 3 . Racking and configuration of Block Storage at HQ . 4 . Adding additional drives to existing storage at CP B . PROJECT OVERVIEW The storage upgrade at the data centers will provide additional storage capacity to the existing storage infrastructure . The overall project shall consist of the following phases : 1 . Phase 1 - Kick - off 2 . Phase 2 - Planning ( requirements analysis / site survey / technical design / workshops ) 3 . Phase 3 - Preparation ( pre - configuration / specialized design testing ) 4 . Phase 4 - Deployment ( site preparation / hardware implementation / testing ) 5 . Phase 5 - Follow Up ( collect statistics / documentation ) 6 . Phase 6 – Closeout Sites included in this project : • MARTA HQ 2424 Piedmont Road Atlanta , GA 30324 • Candler Park 1484 Dekalb Ave . NE Atlanta , GA 30307 C . PROJECT MANAGEMENT The Contractor shall provide a Project Manager (" PM ") familiar with the technology involved and experienced in project management best - practice methodologies . The PM ' s responsibilities shall include , but are not limited to : 1 . Work with MARTA and the Contractor ' s project personnel to prioritize and plan activities for the project ' s duration . Establish lines of communication and frequency of reporting . 2 . Review and communicate the project ' s status with periodic status reports and conference calls highlighting performance on planned tasks and any issues or other areas requiring attention by the Contractor and / or MARTA . 3 . Monitor the project ' s quality and establish effective communications with MARTA ' s staff while maintaining focused , high - quality effort through project completion . 4 . Create an implementation schedule with all necessary tasks and associated timelines . 5 . Attend any appropriate Project Design Workshops that require PM participation and associated follow - up ( action items , resource planning , etc .). 6 . Schedule Contractor resources for tasks associated with the project . D . PROJECT GOALS The Contractor shall provide all services , equipment , and resources required to facilitate and complete the following : 1 . The Contractor shall perform the recommended storage and code upgrade , including but not limited to the configuration and Integration of the new Utility Nodes in the existing ESS storage at MARTA HQ and Candler Park . 2 . The Contractor shall perform all recommended racking , stacking , configuring , and support activities required for the Utility Nodes . 3 . The Contractor shall perform the recommended storage and code upgrades , including but not limited to the configuration and integration of the new IBM block storage systems within the existing storage environment at MARTA HQ . 4 . The Contractor shall perform all required racking , stacking , configuration , and support activities necessary for the deployment of the IBM block storage systems 5 . The Contractor shall install additional drives existing block storage at Candler Park .
