Structured Cabling Installation - County Facilities

The selected vendor shall provide all labor , materials , equipment , and supervision necessary to install structured cabling including : • Quantities are fixed at 59 Cat6A runs and 68 Cat6 runs ; no site visits will be conducted . Vendors shall base proposals on these quantities and provided documentation . • Termination hardware • Patch panels • Patch cables • Surface mount boxes or wall plates • Rack integration • Cable management • Testing and certification 3 . Cabling Requirements Minimum Requirements : • All cabling shall be Cat6 or Cat6A as specified • Maximum run length : 300 feet • All cable must be plenum rated • All drops terminated to matching - rated jacks 4 . Rack and Patch Panel Requirements Patch Panels : • 24 ‑ port modular patch panels • LEVITON QuickPort standard ‑ density modular panels • High density panels are not permitted 5 . Data Outlet Requirements All cable drops must terminate in a wall plate or junction box . Requirements : • No exposed or dangling terminated cables • All rack terminations must terminate to patch panels 6 . Wire Management Vendor must install proper cable management including : • J ‑ hooks or ladder tray supports • Bundled cable runs • Organized patch panel termination • Vertical cable management on rack 7 . Labeling Requirements All cable runs must be labeled on both ends . Labels must identify : • Closet ( MDF or IDF ) • Room number • Drop number Examples : MDF ‑ 201 ‑ 1 IDF1 ‑ CAM ‑ 1 MDF ‑ HVAC ‑ BR ‑ 1
