Description | The work will involve the complete removal of the existing artificial turf system , infill material and replacement with new . It should be expected that the stone base beneath will need to be re - graded and repaired to some extent before the new turf is installed . It shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to add or remove stone as necessary , so the artificial turf system meets the required finished grade of the playing surface / perimeter curb . The field is bordered by a concrete curb . There is no haunch cast into the top of the curb for attaching the turf . A treated 2x4 perimeter “ nailer ” board is attached to the inside of the curb with 3 ” perma - grip nails that required pre - drilled holes . The top of the board is approximately 1 - 1 / 2 ” from the top of the curb . The work for this project shall include the removal and replacement of this treated 2x4 board with new treated lumber . |
