STUDENT TRANSPORTATION SERVICES TO AND FROM SCHOOL

In accordance to New Jersey Department of Education ’ s Restart and Recovery Plan for Education for student transportation : 1 . Contractors will develop a health and safety plan for all bus staff and provide the plan to the Newark Board of Education ( the “ Board ”). The plan should note the company ’ s strategy to promote behaviors that reduce the spread of infection , such as social distancing while at the bus depot , frequent hand washing or hand sanitizing with hand sanitizer that is at least sixty percent ( 60 %) alcohol , the use of face coverings and facilitating temperature checks before the start of transportation efforts . 2 . Contractor will maintain social distancing practices on buses to the maximum extent practicable and within capacity limits set by the State of New Jersey and / or the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention ( CDC ). 3 . All school vehicles will be cleaned after each route with a CDC approved disinfectant and pursuant to any protocols and procedures that have been issued by the CDC or the State of New Jersey relating to student transportation at the Contractor ’ s expense .
