Description

Description

Please note that this is not a call for tenders but a publication announcing the Contracting authority’s intention to publish a future negotiated low or middle valueprocedure.

Analytical study to support R&I policy-making - Study on mapping the deployment of regional bioeconomies in Europe. Since 2017, the European Commission has been mapping, through surveys and desk research, the progress of Member States and other countries in developing strategies and other policy initiatives dedicated to the Bioeconomy at the national level. At the regional level, however, the large number of relevant topics, initiatives, stakeholders and IT platforms covering different territorial realities, languages, etc., so far, did not allow a comprehensive overview of the strategies adopted. The present study aims to support the Commission to understand and analyse the deployment of regional bioeconomy strategies across Europe. The study will also support the objectives of the European Bioeconomy Policy Forum (EBPF) to facilitate interaction and mutual learning of best practices, while enhancing interregional cooperation to deliver joint actions in support of bioeconomy developments (Action 3.2.3 of the EU Bioeconomy Action Plan). The commissioning of this study to tenderers with relevant knowledge, expertise and capabilities to collect and analyse information on social and environmental policies across European regions will facilitate the achievement of these goals.
