Description | Furnish all labor , equipment , and materials to replace the old 1 , 520 - foot , 6 - inch cast iron water main line and customer service lines with new 8 - inch PVC lines . The working contract time shall be March – November while ground temperatures are above 40 °. Should temperatures be conducive either earlier or later in the year , work can start commensurately earlier or continue later . If temperatures are unseasonably low at the beginning or end of the year and the City requires that work stop , the quantities due will be adjusted . All pipeline excavation and / or trench excavation is to be completed by 4 : 00 p . m . to ensure time for backfilling and compacting procedures and clean - up , except in case of emergencies . |
