Supply of laser welding system

<b><i>Please note that this is not a call for tenders but a publication announcing the Contracting authority’s <a href="https://ec.europa.eu/docsroom/documents/40287" target="_blank">intention to publish a future negotiated low or middle valueprocedure. </a> </i></b><br></br>JRC Karlsruhe is considering the acquisition of a laser welding system intended for the welding of materials and geometries relevant to nuclear materials encapsulation. A typical application relates to autogenous circumferential hermetic weld with 0-2 mm penetration for cladding materials such as austenitic stainless steel, nickel base alloy and Pt-Rh alloys. The laser welding system design shall be easily integrated in a nuclear laboratory. To this end the preferred configuration shall comprise : laser generator, optics fibre beam delivery and focusing optics. The focusing optic design shall allow an easy integration in a protective enclosure such as a glove box.
