T3017 - Pilot and Technician Training For Rotary and Fixed Wing Aircraft

GENERAL REQUIREMENT The Contractor will provide Pilot and Aviation Maintenance Technician Training . All pilot and technician training is governed by the Federal Aviation Administration ( FAA ) and its Federal Aviation Regulations ( FAR ). Please refer to the following link for the FAR : https :// www . faa . gov / regulations_policies / faa_regulations PILOT INITIAL / RECURRENT TRAINING AGUSTA AW139 INITIAL / RECURRENT TRAINING The Contractor shall provide initial / recurrent type training in accordance with FAR 61 . 63 and FAR 61 . 31 . To achieve the greatest degree of training transference , the State requires all simulator training shall be conducted in a FAA approved full motion simulator capable of replicating maneuver and disturbance motion . BELL 206 LONG RANGER INITIAL / RECURRENT TRAINING The Contractor shall provide initial / recurrent type training in accordance with FAR 61 . 56 . Classroom Instruction shall comprehensively cover aircraft system description and operation , operational characteristics , operating limitations , and performance planning . Flight Training Device ( FTD ) - Includes normal and emergency procedures with emphasis on caution / warning indications . Flight Training – Contractor shall supply a Bell 206 Long Ranger / Jet Ranger aircraft to be used in training . Flight training shall be performed in an aircraft and at a minimum include : Demonstration / performance of normal maneuvers and emergency procedures ; Hydraulics - off landings ; Touchdown ; Auto - rotations ; and Anti - torque system failures .
