California State University , Chico is seeking an architect or architectural firm ( or firms ) to provide architectural consulting services on an as needed basis for the University . The contract would become effective upon receipt of a fully executed contract and shall extend for one full calendar year from date of execution . SCOPE OF WORK Campus Consulting Architectural Services California State University , Chico The campus consulting architect will be responsible for providing the following services to the University , upon request , in a timely manner , and in performance of the consultant ' s obligations under the agreement : 1 . Provide consultation to campus regarding master plan and growth . Prepare master plan revisions . 2 . Provide consultation , examination , research and recommendations to University staff regarding condition , repair , and / or replacement of physical facilities and equipment . 3 . Provide research and interpretation of building codes as related to University facilities . 4 . Develop descriptions and architectural scope for proposed University projects . 5 . Prepare designs , plans , specifications , bidding documents , and provide construction administration for campus major and minor capital projects including capital renewal . 6 . Develop familiarity with the approved University master plan and pallet of materials . Provide recommendations based on these materials related to proposed changes or additions to University facilities . 7 . Provide construction cost estimation services . 8 . Prepare feasibility and due diligence studies . 9 . Review design and construction documents prepared by either campus staff or consultants . Provide recommendations regarding University standards and policies , the master plan , code compliance and cost efficiency . 10 . Provide professional opinions and recommendations regarding proposed changes to campus facilities . 11 . If applicable , Certified Access Specialist ( CASp ) services .
