University of Wisconsin – Madison Dining & Culinary Services is seeking temporary help services for dining locations across campus . Scope : Due to vacancies in both full - time and student employment positions , UW Housing must complete additional operational tasks in order to comply with public health requirements and meet customer service demands . Because these needs are temporary and related to staffing shortages , Dining and Culinary Services will require the support of temporary help employees to maintain consistent and reliable operations . The temporary staffing agency selected will need to provide front - line employees with flexible scheduling availability . The demand for temporary staff will vary throughout the year depending on the department ’ s success in filling student and full - time vacancies . Typically , the greatest need for additional support occurs at the beginning of the fall semester , which is the busiest period for Dining and Culinary Services . The food service industry traditionally experiences a high turnover rate . Temporary staff allow UW Housing to cover short - term gaps created by student or full - time vacancies and ensure continuity of service . The University does not guarantee to purchase any specific quantity or dollar amount . Any contract resulting from this RFP must not be construed as mandatory upon any University campus , State agency or municipality . The University reserves the right to issue separate RFP ’ s when deemed in the best interest of the University . Proposed prices and terms shall be firm for 90 days from the date of the proposal opening . All University of Wisconsin - MADISON departments must be eligible to purchase from this contract .
