TESTING SERVICES FOR THE MSBSD

A . Annual fire alarm testing will be completed at various MSBSD locations per Appendix 6 , Fire Alarm Testing Locations . Testing of all triggered devices ( to include but not be limited to fire doors , magnetic hold - opens , duct detectors , motorized fire / smoke dampers , etc .) to be included . B . During testing the contractor is responsible for verifying the device description at the panel for each device , and labeling or relabeling devices as needed . C . The contractor is responsible for testing batteries in the panels and subpanels . If necessary , batteries must be replaced as part of this scope . D . All work will be coordinated and scheduled as indicated in Section 4 . 6 . FIRE EXTINGUISHER INSPECTIONS , REFILLS AND MAINTENANCE A . Annual fire extinguisher inspections and refills , and annual hydrostatic testing and refills will be completed at various MSBSD locations per Appendix 7 , Fire Extinguisher Locations . B . The contractor is responsible for : 1 . Providing serial numbers on tags for each device , 2 . Providing proper signage at each device location , 3 . Verifying fire extinguisher weights and labels , and 4 . Ensuring fire extinguishers include proper service stickers or collars identifying the date of service and the technician who performed the service . C . All work will be coordinated and scheduled as indicated in Section 4 .
