Description | NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Regional Transportation Commission of Washoe County , Nevada ( RTC ) is requesting bids from qualified contractors for the Traffic Signal Modifications 26 - 01 Project . This project will make the following improvements : North McCarran Boulevard / York Way : Efficiency improvements on the east and west approaches Improve signal head visibility on McCarran southbound Rock Boulevard / Greg Street : Convert southbound left turn to improve safety Rock Boulevard / Commerce Street : Upgrade existing pedestrian crossing system to rapid rectangular flashing beacons ( RRFBs ) Galleria Parkway / Costa Azul Drive : Improve signal head visibility on Galleria southbound California Avenue / Plumas Street : Install dedicated left turn signals for all four intersection approaches Kietzke Lane / Neil Road : Install RRFBs at the roundabout crosswalks South McCarran Boulevard / Caughlin Parkway / Cashill Boulevard : Install active advanced warning system for McCarran Boulevard southbound due to limited sight distance |
