Description | The purpose of this Request for Proposal ( RFP ) is to solicit proposals from qualified Vendors to manufacture , supply , deliver , install , test , commission , and provide training , documentation , warranty , and on - going maintenance for a Transit Bus Simulator System in accordance with the requirements described in this RFP . The Interurban Transit Partnership ( ITP ) seeks to acquire one ( 1 ) Transit Bus Simulator System that replicates the operation of a low - floor transit bus . The Transit Bus Simulator System will primarily be used to train in a fixed route configuration as a 40 - foot Gillig Low Floor CNG bus , but it must also be capable , through software reconfiguration , of operating as a 60 - foot New Flyer Xcelsior XN60 CNG .
