Description | The work shall consist of the removal of trees as specified by the Jefferson County Highway Superintendent or his authorized representative . Bids will be received for the removal of trees on the basis of : 1 . Diameter of Trunk of Tree measured at a point 4 feet above ( butt size ) the natural ground 2 . By Category of Difficulty Recognizing that the felling of each tree presents its own set of difficulties due to location , shape and type of tree , three categories are established . Description of Categories : Category I A tree standing in a location that will allow aerial bucket equipment access and has no adjacent structures such as buildings , utility poles or wires close enough to influence work on tree . Category II Shall include those trees that have some impediments in the vicinity that would incur additional time and care to accomplish the feeling . Category III Shall be the worst case situation requiring care and therefore the most time to accomplish removal . |
