. 2 . 3 . 4 . 5 . 6 . 7 . Trimming will be done directly after the contract is awarded . Make sure you have an open schedule after the bid opening to start this project while it is still early in the spring . Assess the tree look for dead , damaged , or crossing branches that need removed . Use proper techniques making clean cuts at a slight angle just above a bud or branch . No dead cuts and avoid leaving stubs . Remove excess growth by trimming back branches to maintain a natural shape . Reduce the height of the trees as much as possible . Trim all branches that hang over any roof lines and any that are approaching the buildings . Roughly 6 to 10 feet of clearance from the buildings . Trim any branches that are hanging low over sidewalks and roads . A minimum of 13 ' from the ground . If these branches do need trimmed cut them back to the collar . While trimming each tree the contractor is responsible for cautioning off any dangerous areas . 8 . 9 . All branches and debris will be cleaned up as you go from tree to tree . The timeline for completing this work is 30 days from the notice to proceed . 10 . Standard rates apply to this equal opportunity contract
