Description | The Haines Borough is soliciting sealed quotes from bidders interested in purchasing approximately 4 , 125 gallons , in fifteen 275 - gallon totes , of Triafrost PG 30 % Glycol . Purchased for a Haines biomass project approximately 20 years ago and never used , the Triafrost PG 30 % is a propylene glycol based heat transfer fluid that contains a package of specially formulated inhibitors that help prevent corrosion and thermal breakdown . Triafrost PG 30 % can be used for secondary cooling and heating , freeze and burst protection of pipes , defrosting , dehumidifying and various deicing . Generally Regarded As Safe ( GRAS ) where contact with food and beverage occur . Recommended use temperature range : - 28C (- 18F ) to 104C ( 220 F ). |
