Description

Description

The University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) has a diverse student body with an enrollment of approximately 10,000 students, including undergraduates, graduates, and professional students across various disciplines. UMD offers on-campus accommodation with a total dormitory capacity of 2,960 students, representing 31% of the student population. UMD Dining Services is a self-operated dining program that provides a food and beverage for over 2500 students living on campus in our residential dining hall, retail options for the greater campus community, and catering for everything in between.UMD's Dining Services department is seeking to replace its legacy point of sales system and mobile ordering software. Its current point of sales system consists of ordering kiosks, registers, back of house ticketing system, and online ordering for retail operations. The University has its own terminals and would like to be able to use those with the proposed solution. It consists of 6 self-order kiosks, 6 iPads for mobile orders for the back of house side, 2 Kitchen Display System screens, and 13 pinpads/swipers.The POS systems are also physically located in the Residential Dining Hall and all retail locations, and is integrated with meal plan management system for Residential Dining plan redemption, block plan redemption, credit card, cash, and dining dollar redemption.Currently the entire management team averaging 25 users interact with the legacy point of sales system, as well as 20-30 cashiers. The department also desires the proposed solution to be a single solution for both point of sales and mobile ordering, but may consider proposals that contain solutions currently used by the University. The solution(s) that replace it will need to work in conjunction with Atrium, the University's Campus Card program. See https://atriumcampus.com/ for additional details about Atrium. In addition to Atrium, the department would prefer that the solution(s) also work with Jamix (https://www.jamix.com/) and Nutrislice (https://nutrislice.com/).Addendum 1 (10-20-2026). Added a Spreadsheet (10484.2482711.JS - UMD - POS and Mobile Ordering RFP - Questions and Answers) that contains the answers to the questions submitted during the Question period.
