UNH Dimond Library Carpet and Flooring Replacement

The general scope of work for this project includes selective interior flooring replacement work within the Hubbard , Addison , and Courtyard Reading Rooms , associated balconies and entrances , as indicated on the contract drawings , and includes , but is not limited to , the following : • Temporary relocation and protection of existing patron furniture ( tables , chairs , and related furnishings ) within work areas , as coordinated with library staff and UNH Facilities Project Management • Removal and disposal of existing carpet flooring within designated areas • Installation of new carpet tile flooring in base bid areas • Installation of alternate flooring types in designated areas when alternates are accepted • Phased construction scheduling to accommodate library operations and academic calendar constraints • Temporary dust protection and separation of work areas from adjacent occupied spaces • Coordination with UNH Facilities Project Management and library staff to minimize disruption in occupied areas Work areas and limits are further defined on the floor plans for Levels 3 , 4 , and 5 . All alternates shall include the same level of surface preparation , accessory materials , and installation requirements as the base bid flooring work , unless noted otherwise .
