Description | Concrete Walkway Construction 5 . 1 Layout & Subgrade Preparation • Perform layout of all new concrete walkway paths per project plans . • Grade , compact , and prepare subgrade to required elevations , slopes , and tolerances . • Install rebar reinforcement per below specifications . Excavate , place and compact new gravel sub - base to a minimum 6 ” compacted depth . NHDOT 304 . 3 crushed gravel Form and pour new 6 ” sidewalk to previous footprint . Spec . per NHH sidewalk detail o 4500 psi concrete . o # 5 rebar 12 ” on center with bar 2 ” from outside edges . o Broom finish to match existing surrounding sidewalks . 5 . 2 Concrete Placement • Place concrete to specified thickness and alignment . • Perform wet curing in accordance with the concrete specification . • Apply broom finish with picture frame edge for all walkway surfaces . • Ensure all expansion joints , control joints , and edge treatments meet project specifications . |
