It is the intent of the City of Philadelphia to make an award for Uniforms for the Department of Fleet Services as specified herein during the contract period . SCOPE OF WORK Uniform related clothing bid must be that of an industry recognized manufacturer on the level of and compatible with those manufacturers listed herein . No company created brands or labels will be acceptable . All clothing to be furnished under this contract must be newly manufactured and warranted against all defects in material and construction . Specifically , a uniform set : shirts , pants and jackets listed in this Invitation and Bid must be from the same manufacturer to ensure color match . The original manufacturer ’ s name tag must appear on each garment ( s ) delivered for quality assurance . 2 . 3 . 1 . 1 Materials Testing The City of Philadelphia , may , during the life of this contract , supply a delivered product from this contract to the Materials Testing Laboratory . These products shall be tested to ensure conformance with bid specifications . If product fails , or is different from product supplied at award stage , rejection procedures will be implemented . Should any delivered item ( s ) fail inspection , a rejection shall be issued and no further shipments of any rejected item ( s ) shall be authorized until the rejection is lifted and the shipment is approved . The successful bidder shall be given ten ( 10 ) days to replace the garment ( s ) with one that meets specifications . This requirement applies to all items on the bid . 2 . 3 . 2 On - Site Measuring Vendor will be responsible for providing on site measuring service at DFS shop locations as designated by DFS contract representative . Measuring shall be provided within three ( 3 ) business days of notification . All uniforms will be fitted to each individual ’ s requirements for size , including but not limited to : length of arms , legs , neck , torso , waist , etc . No measurements will be accepted for ordering garments without DFS representative ’ s signature and formal purchase order release .
