SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT - The proposed contract action is for the supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source , ( Universal Synaptics , 2109 Rulon White Blvd Unit 2 , Ogden , UT 84404 , CAGE 350J1 ), under the authority of FAR 13 . 106 - 1 . This is being sole sourced because ( The OEM for the IFDIS , pn : USC - IFD - 10240 , is Universal Synaptics . They own the proprietary rights to the system and all its parts , and is able to perform the form , fit , and function repair needed to support the EA - 18G system .) All responsible sources may submit a capability statement , which shall be considered by the agency . However , a determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this solicitation is solely within the discretion of the Government .
