USACE - SAV is conducting market research to identify qualified and capable sources for an anticipated Geotechnical Laboratory Testing requirement . This questionnaire is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation , Request for Proposal ( RFP ), or commitment by the Government . Participation is strictly voluntary . Responses will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition strategy , including potential set ‑ asides . The purpose of this questionnaire is to collect capability information from firms interested in providing geotechnical laboratory testing services , including but not limited to : Soil classification testingAggregate testingConcrete and asphalt testingCompaction , permeability , and consolidation testingChemical and physical property analysisDue to sample transport requirements , turnaround times , and project support needs , only firms located within a 150 ‑ mile radius of both Atlanta , GA and Savannah , GA will be considered capable for this market research effort .
